How's the law on steroid use in Callifornia?

I'm thinking of moving from The Netherlands to Callifornia when I have my Bachelor of Informatics degree.
How's the law on steroid use overthere ?

Like, what happends if I happen to buy a few vials for own use and get got?
Also are there any random testing on anabolics when you workout in the gym?

DUH! I know it's obviously illegal, but America has very high penalty's for doing basicly nothing wrong so I'm wondering if I get any jail time if I'm using steroids.

You'd be amazed at how reality is in some country's. For example in Belgium the police can raid any gym and make everyone take a bloodtest to see if they're using steroids. And if so, you're banned from every gym.

to answer your question though, yes; you will go to jail for purchasing anabolics in the united states of america.

I've heard it's like that in Sweden. Some dude got banned from the gym for ephedrine And the cops can pick you up and test you if they suspect you are using AAS (if you're larger than they think is normal).

But no, in the US, the state authorities cannot randomly test you unless you've been convicted of a crime and are on parole or probation. And only state or federal officers could do it in that situation. No random testing of people by other ordinary citizens (gym owners for example), ever. The constitution prevents it...for now at least.

BUT...AAS laws are harsh. If you get caught, possession of any amount falls under the same laws as possession of the hardest recreational drugs. So, it's technically a felony. In practice though, personal use amounts would likely result in probation.

A dom***** supplier would be the best bet...hypothetically

Yes it is illegal to use steroids any where in the US without a prescription. Although many people do. If the police catch you, you will very likely be arrested. But unless you are caught carrying it out of your home, or selling it, the chance you will be arrested are close to zero. And I cant imagine an IT company drug testing for steroids.

If you are reasonably careful, the police have more important things to focus their efforts.

If you get caught with gear, you will get deported. Just don't sell it and keep it on the down low.
