HRT & Liver Damage?

I have a good friend who wants to start doing HRT. He is in his early 50s. The main issues is he has some liver damage from Hep-C & the Interfron treatment he was on to treat the Hep-C. My questions is is it safe or should he not even risk it. He was thinking about doing 300-400mg/wk of Test Cyp.

TMK using inj testosterone at real-life hrt doses should cause no adverse distress to the liver beyond what a man not on hrt would incur.

First off,

Thats a question you or your friend should be asking an HRT rep. When someone is planning HRT/TRT they must be up front with any past and existing medical issues. They rep will determine if he's a candidate for HRT. I wish him luck! He should be fine for Hrt! They won't prescribe him anything that will compromise his health...if there good DR's!

Doubtful his endocrinologist will have him on a dose that high with hep c, but have him go and find out. "liver damage" is very brad, he needs to be retested before a dose can be determined.

The ester on the Test will cause more stress to the liver then natural Test will. But not to any great extent, unless his liver is already compromised.
