Do you ever feel like you can eat every hour on the hour and find yourself doing so during precontest because I know I eat like every 1.5 hours right now, of course all clean foods...damn it I feel like cookies, pancakes, and mexican right now, but I will stick to my plan of eating the POWER foods!

Thank goodness I am at a place of work where I can eat like this all the time!!!

Just one of those craving days! FUCK!

LOL im going through this right now. its a fight everyday. mexican, pounds of bacon (i use bacon as a condement). and my pure weekness. Taco bell
 
I feel you, I am currently working with Shelby and dieting fairly hard. The low carb days are the WORST. I normally try to lift in the evenings after work which usually means my 5th meal will fall around 7:30-8pm and 10pm is my final meal prior to bed so my body is still going crazy from lifting. The past several weeks I have been waking up at 2,3,4 am STARVING so bad it's hard to go back to sleep. Needless to say I have never felt my metabolism like this. Hot and sweaty all the time and hungry all day. Results tho!!!
 
I look at it this way, the hunger is a good thing and the cravings are bad thing which is 90% mental and 10% pleasure, but damn my taste buds must be very bored right now becuase I feel like it is the the opposite right now! Re-feed day will be good, but post competition will be the REAL treat!!

Dude thats how i felt ALL THROUGH MY COMP PREP! Im still what i would call a newb so i didnt just wanna eat whenever i was hungry, so i made it every 2 1/2 hrs. Sometimes it would go by fast and sometimes i was counting the minutes till the next meal 5 mins after eating my last one! Next time ima try and 'listen' to my body a bit more.

Oh and btw, the whole post comp treat thing.....1 1/2 more days for me! I seriously cant even decide what i want first! :D

How do we do that? I wish I knew how to. I'm permanently hungry and 9 more weeks to go :(

Learn to associate the feeling of hunger with the positive effect of hunger being the cause of your fat loss.
 
Don't give into the cravings, because trust me after you eat a bunch of sugar and fat you'll feel like shit anyways. When I'm staying tight on a diet, if I ever binge out it sucks so bad, I rather just have a day where I eat more carbs from good enjoyable healthy sources rather then eat a bunch of crap that will make me feel like crap.
 
I don't give in to cravings and I don't cheat and its paying off but its the nauseous light headedness coupled with the irratibility feeling that gets me. I know its all part of it and anyone who competes goes through this but I love my food and this dieting business is by far the hardest part for me.

I think the discipline I learned from my time in the Armed Forces is a big help as I can disconnect my brain and leave it at the door. But this hunger is a different story :D:D
