Who here is a hunter, and what is your favorite hunt?

The whitetail hunt is an anual thing where I live, both bow and rifle/pistol. There's nothing more fun than spending 12hrs in a tree stand in a snow storm waiting for that buck to get hungry on your bait pile, unless you go home after a wk and never saw a buck after spending a wk freezing yer ass off in that tree stand.
Bear hunting is alot of fun also, but it's costly. I passed up a couple bears on a Yukon hunt a cpl years ago hoping to bag a blonde who came close but never close enough. I went home empty handed but I'm sure I'll go back and get a blonde rug someday:star-wa:s
What's your hunt/hunting story?

Would love to go on safari and hunt some of the big game animals, have got a friend who goes all the time, way to much money for me but he has got it, lucky him. he said the lion is an exciting hunt. He has a taxidermy place he bought that has alot of his animals on display, my kids call it the dead zoo.

I'm an avid hunter! I hunt pretty much all large game in this area, White Tial, Mule Deer, Elk, Moose, Caribou, Sheep, Goat, Cougar, Black Bear, Grizz etc. The dont let people hunt with hand guns up here in Canada, but rifle or bow are both big sports. Where I come from originally is right up near the BC, Yukon border and there is great hunting up there. Black Bear hunting up here is not that big of a deal. They are everywhere and you can pick up a tag for $15-20. If your from out of province though its a whole lot more expensive thats for sure. I think a grizz tag for a resident is $30 for non resident is $1050

Grew up hunting all over the blue ridge mountains (part of the appalachian mountains). I absolutely love turkey season in the spring, great weather, beautiful mountains, fun hunt.

Before that I always went whitetail hunting. Definitely a great time until you freeze your ass off for nothing but thats just part of the deal.

i hunt deer and turkey here in ny but the weather was horrible for deer season this year

I am going for my first hunt the weekend after New Years. I am very excited, as I have always been interested in hunting. I just finally got off my ass and got my license

I love to bow hunt for whitetail. Also like to hunt pheasants it's great when you have a good dog.

Hunter here too, though I haven't got to do much hunting this season. My truck got hit by another vehicle right before the hunting season started and I've been driving a rental car while waiting for the bodyshop to finish with the repairs. I figured it wouldn't be a good ideal to stuff a dead deer in the car's trunk to carry it to the processor. Would be kind of hard to explain the blood stained carpet to the rental agency when I return the car to them. I did go with a friend back in October and shot a nice 2.5 year old 7 pointer with a 21" spread, so at least I've got some meat in the freezer this year if I don't get to again before the season is over.

Guys, come to my house! I've got deer, wild turkey, coyote's and fox right here in my yard.

I love hunting, deer, bear, boar.........

99% bow, but shotgun too, only because in Illinois you can't bowhunt during shotgun season.

A bad day in the woods beats a good day at work anytime.

Deer hunting and duck hunting here! Usually I go duck hunting in the morning and deer hunting in the afternoon.

I hunt BASS and my gun is a shimano stella attached to a St. Croix rod! I also hunt whitetail now and then. I work in the logging woods so I would rather be on the water on my days off than a pine plantation

Most fun Ive ever had was hiking 30 miles into "God's country" and hunting bear w/ a bow. It was a rush.

havent for 3 years now. I shoot a weatherby 300 win mag with muzzle break decelarator pad and varix III Scope. Also carry 44 mag smith and wesson mtn gun pistol. I hunt bear, white tail, and couger. In the eastern wa or northern idaho. Also lived in alaska for work for a year and had some good hunting trips.

I think grouse, sharptails, Sagehens, etc.

Bird hunting is probably my favorite. Walking along way up in the mountains through the sage brush or in the timber for Blue Grouse.

I hunt just about everything in North America when the funds and time allow , I'd rather Bow hunt Elk than anything the bow season falls in with the rut (breeding season) and getting up close and personal with a pissed off thousand pound bull elk is amazing. But I mostly deer hunt these little ass scrub deer down here ,they are way over populated so I try to setup my shot for long range to make it intersting. Just finished up building a new 308 that I'll probably use this year , its mostly a working gun but pulls triple time in the woods and F-class target matches.
here is a pic of it in the yard

and here is a pic of it on the breakfast table with the suppressor attached ,the wife was all pissed about that
