HEY GUYS I WAS WONDERING ABOUT HYPER THYROID OR GRAVES DISEASE. I HAD MINE KILLED BACK IN 8TH GRADE AND NOW IM 29 YEARS OLDAND IM ON SYNTHROID .05 I HAVE TO TAKE ON PILL EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. BUT I RECENTLY HAD MY THYROID TEST DONE AND THEY SAID IT WAS OK BUT THE DOCTOR INCREASED THE DOSAGE FROM .02 TO .05 SO IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOWIF HE MADE THE DOSE HIGHERIN THE LAST YEAR I HAVE DONE A COUPLE OF CYCLES AND HAVNT SEEN THAT GREAT OF GAINS AND THE LAST 6 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN TIRED AND SOMEWHAT UN MOTIVATED MY DIET HAS BEEN FAIRLY GOOD I ALWAYS EAT AT LEAST 200 GRAMS OF PROTEIN AND DO CARDIO 3 TIMES A WEEK. I WEIGH 230 AND IM 5'11 BUT SOME TIMES JUST DOING CARDIO IS HARDER THAN SHIT CAUSE IM SO TIRED AND I LIFT 5 DAYS ON AND TWO OFF. COULD HAVING THIS DISEASE AND HAVING MY THYROID BE A LITTLE LOW CAUSE ME SLOW MUSCLE GAINS AND COULD IT BE CAUSING ME TO BE SO TIRED. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED .:confused:
 
hey dude, if you have hypERthyroidism, i believe that is a high thyroid level, rather than low. This is known to cause fatigue, and definitely weight loss, so theoretically would make muscle gain a lot harder :(

hypOthyroidism is low thyroid level, and can cause weight gain.

Both can cause severe fatigue. Some non prescription solutions that are know to help are to make sure you are getting enough B vitamins, and also some people have commented on a chinese herb called schizandra which helps with the fatigue.

Sorry i cant be of any more help mate, i got all that from the research i did before doing a t3 cycle! good luck anyhow

i've tried many training methods before, and the worst for me personally was training more than 2 days without a rest day in between. I would suggest you eat atleast 1 gr/lb of protein too. how's your sleep? do you get atleast 7-8 hrs daily? quality of sleep? water intake? do you sleep and wake up at the same times daily?
I just know that when i train a lot (more than 4 days a week) and do cardio 5 times per week or more... i get fried after 6-8 weeks and i just feel tired all the time. try taking a break from training for a week, and get some rest.
Ofcourse, the best thing to do is go and tell all of this to your doctor and see what he has to say.

What are your Thyroid-levels? Can you post blood work?
They usually look at T3 T4 and TSH.
Synthroid is T4 that converts to T3 the form in which thyroid is utilized from.
A high TSH level indicates low T3 levels-meaning your pituatary is pumping out thyroid stimulating hormone because it doesn't sense enough T3.
Everyone is different, and most docs go by blood work and not by how you feel unfortunately.

THANKS B I GET ABOUT 9 HOURS OF SLEEP AND WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME AND I ALWAYS DRINK A GALLON OF WATER EVERYDAY. I HAVE TRIED TWO ON AND ONE DAY OFF AND I STILL FELT TIRED

I DONT HAVE MY TEST RESULTS BUT I WILL CALL MY DOCTOR AND GET THE RESULTS AND POST THEM.I KNOW I HAVE TO TAKE THE T4 AND THE TSH TEST MAYBE AFTER I POST THEM YOU COULD TAKE A LOOK AT THEM THANKS
 
Be sure to get the T3 T4 AND TSH. Some Docs just go by the 3 or 4 and neglect the TSH.
 
TEST RESULTS

I RECIEVED MY TEST RESULTS AND THE TSH SOULD BE IN BETWEEN 0.50 AND5.00 MY TEST SHOWED I WAS 2.42 SHE SAID IT WAS GOOD AND IF ITS GOOD THEY DO NOT TEST FOT THE T3 OR T4:confused:
