Due to my somewhat frequent symptoms of low blood sugar I purchased a glucose meter. I never have symptoms of high blood sugar.
I know I should see a doctor and at some point will, but there is no pattern to when the low blood sugar hits, it's usually two times or so a week although I can go weeks without it hitting.
My first thought is it had something to do with my workout timing but I'm not too sure of that because it seems to hit more on off days.
I just received the meter on Friday and ran a test which was about 4 hours after my last food. The glucose level was 79 which seems good and I was feeling fine at the time.
I workout first thing in the morning so today I took my pre-workout and sipped my intra during the workout. This is 50 grams hbcd and 15 grams EAA's. About an hour after my workout I started to feel the onset of low blood sugar so I measured and it was at 51.
My question right now is, would a GDA be something that would help low blood sugar? Obviously this is something insulin related and I should add I've never used insulin.
