I SEEM TO HAVE MORE ENERGY WITH AN INCREASED FAT INTAKE AND A LOWER CARB LEVEL.......I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS TRUE. I'VE BEEN FOOLING AROUND TRYING SOME THINGS OUT.
FOR EXAMPLE: I'LL WAKE UP....DRINK A BUNCH OF WATER, TAKE SOME ECA AND EITHER TRAIN OR GET ON THE TREADMILL/BIKE/ WHATEVER.
WHEN I GO THROUGH OUT THE DAY ON VIRTUALLY NO CARBOHYDRATES I STAY WIRED........NO DIP IN ENERGY THROUGHOUT THE DAY. LATER AFTER A WORKOUT I'LL HAVE MY HIGH CARB MEAL. THEN ITS BACK DOWN TO A PROTEIN SOURCE AND SOME FISHOIL OR ALMONDS.
I'VE TRIED THIS FOR A WEEK AT A TIME....THE RESULTS ARE REALLY GOOD FOR ME...MY FACE STAYS UNBLOATED [REGARDLESS OF WATER RETENTIVE SUBSTANCES I MIGHT BE INGESTING] I LOOK MUCH, MUCH BETTER.....PEOPLE THINK I AM GETTING READY FOR SOMETHING AND ASK, BUT I AM NOT.
THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO I'VE GONE BACK TO LOWER FAT....SWITCHED THE FAT CALORIES FOR CARB CALORIES....KEPT THE PROTEIN THE SAME.
I LOOK WORSE AND FEEL SLUGGISH.....TIRED....ABSOLUTELY NEED A NAP DURING THIS TIME USING THIS TYPE OF FUEL FOR ENERGY.
I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS SHOULD BE THE CASE......MAYBE MY BODY HAS BECOME MORE EFFICIENT USING FAT FOR FUEL? HELL, I DON'T KNOW, BUT I AM FAR MORE TIRED DURING THE DAY WHEN I USE CARBS.
