I got off the plane from Jr. Nationals and went hiking for a week.

Acorn fed and hormonally modified squirrel!

That squirrel looks full of muscle, lean, and full, just needs to shave;);) :DAll this by just eating acorns, the acorn diet is the new thing:D

No seriously, that is nature at its finest, you always have the best scenic pics, thanks again JT for allowing us to come into your world.

I am glad you like that pic, Lenny. I think it's the best one I got the whole time. He was a cute little guy.

Thanks, I am happy that you enjoy these.

Its always nice when you share your pics. Thanks.

I don't compete so I don't have a lot to offer in that regard, but I can post the stuff I do outside! :D

Check out this grouse.

That's pretty much how I view it, Knucklehead.

Thanks for this thread JT. You have fortified my soul...
Great photos and even better; you spending time with those kids.

Peace that is beyond understanding.

Here is a better picture of the grouse that was taking a dust bath. He kept on fluttering around and was not much for posing for a picture!

AHHH Dinner! Would have looked just fine with a skewer through it roasting on a fire somewhere in the mountains:eek: OOPS forgot......you are on the acorn diet now.........No more grouse for you!! Keep the pics coming JT. Very cool shit!!

Have you still been running back and forth for supplies?

Great pics. You have a real luv and appreciation
of nature, pure and simple I can tell.

Thank you for sharing JT.

And take care of those wheels :)

I think it's cool that we share that same passion. I wish I had your skill as a photographer though!

I should have Meredith take a pic of my feet. A week later, still bruised. Hold on I will.

Get ready! lol.

Had I been alone! lol. Yeah, that sucker might have met a tragic fate! I saw a grizzly, but it was too far away to post a good picture of it. I took one and you can tell what it is, but the pic sucks. lol.

Your wife is a savage and does more damage to her feet than I do-

Yup, Lisa is still walking. Over 1,000 miles
so far. And I can't begin to tell you how many
shots she has of her feet, man oh man, they
take a beating. And if they don't work, neither
does she. And she is paranoid about anybody
touching them or her shoes (she has worn out
3 pair already . . .)

And yup, I'm still back and forth, doing some
re-supplies when needed.

She got up to 14,000 ft. in the Sierra and there
was too much snow to continue north so I
drove down to Lone Pine, CA and hauled her
to Oregon (based upon some erroneous info it
turned out) so she could walk south to Mt. Whitney,
logic being no snow up north, but there was still too
much so we drove a couple of hundred of miles
south of there, and off she went. Still some
snow and many blow-downs, but passable.

I just got home from Lassen Park in Nor Cal
where we spent a day and a half together and
then off she went again. Should see her in a
few weeks at Sonora Pass where I will give her
a bear canister and other supplies for her
trip South through the Sierra. Then I'll drive her
back up north to where she started and she will
continue to Canada.

That's the plan for now . . . subject to change
at a moments notice I'm learning.

It's been one of the worst years for PCT thru-
hikers, crazy conditions all over.

Now . . . back to YOUR post.

Don't worry about hijacking anything! I enjoy it when you post in these threads!

Here are my feet after a week of healing. Still bruised in the arches though. :(

So there is a Big Foot !!!!........ I knew it !

Absolutely phenomenal pictures JT! Man i love nature and hiking. What kind of fish are in those streams? I live on a lake, and caught a 4 pound 10 ounce large mouth bass yesterday. I cooked him up, and he tasted great! I would love to come there to hunt. i know..some will say " you love nature and want to hunt?" Yes I LOVE nature and would hunt to eat... not just to kill. A poster asked how goat is to eat. Goat is awsome! These pics are just amazing, and you are blessed to live there. Im sure that grizzly looked at you and said " I wouldnt win... so i will let them continue to hike" LOL

I love nature and I enjoy hunting and fishing too. Heck, nature is filled with predators. We are predators! Right? :D

Nice job on that bass! We have trout in these streams. Brookies up high too.

God has a funny way of letting us know just how little we are in the grand scheme of things. Every time I visit the Grand Canyon I am humbled by what he created and how blessed we are to be a part of all of this. We get so caught up in our lives we fail to realize where all of this started. Great pics JT. Your posts are inspiring in more ways than one:).
