I got the gift of cellulitis...UPDATED WITH PICS FURTHER DOWN
Story goes like this- Did my normal Test E injection on Sunday. I always get some pain and tenderness from the particular brand I use, so I thought "No big deal" when I was sore on tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday, the pain and swelling got worse. It ended up running from my right hip down almost to my knee, and wrapping partway around the back of my hamstring.
Well today I could barely sleep last night and was in excruciating pain any time I tried to put weight on my leg all morning. The pain started deep inside my hip and spread across a good part of my leg. I figured it was time to go to the ER. I told them about my Sunday "Vitamin B12 injection" and explained what happened. The doctor took one look at it and told me it's a pretty nasty case of cellulitis. She asked me how the hell I've been able to train like this and told me she was surprised I could handle walking on it. "No pain, no gain" I told her.
So for my troubles, I got a 10 day course of Cephalexin and Bactrim and was told to keep close watch of the outline they drew on my leg. If it spreads at all I need to go back immediately. Now I'm just glad this is over.
