I have stage four Melanoma. So far the drugs I'm on from the surgery are doing a better job controlling the nausea than what my oncologist has me on. I will try to get it switched.

OK so I saw a surgeon yesterday. An actual surgeon just not mine as he was unavailable.

The little machine that I've been lugging around was removed as was the bandages.

The tubes and bags are still in place. Apparently shit gets confusing when your doctor talks to you while you're flying high on drugs.

I keep track of the amount of fluid that I empty from the bags daily. One is over 200 mgs daily and the other is right around 200.

This guy told me that I will have to leave these things in till I get down to a minimum of 30 mgs each daily.

Wow, sounds like they will be here for a while.

I'll update you guys next week when I see my actual surgeon and my oncologist.

I have Lymphedema now also. If you Google it, it's definitely not a good thing to have. Also have an infection in there.

We need to clear up the infection first. I go back to see my surgeon on Friday to come up with a game plan.

From everything I've read, I'm not doing well.

As far as the cancer goes, I start back on the immunotherapy in a few weeks.

So had another CT scan and blood drawn and everything looks good...

appetite is slowly improving..

Darn man I'm so sorry to hear this.I lost my dad to cancer.my mother in-law had breast cancer and had one of her breast cut out
My father in-law (her husband) had breast cancer too and he also had both breast cut out. Fuck cancer hang in there and kick its ass brother. Ill be praying for you

Damn this is so sad to hear this. I went through a scare where I had la lump in my stomach and I went to the doctor and he sent me to get a CT Scan on the spot. Everything was going through my head as I prepared myself for the worst outcome. Turned out to be something benign but just the feeling I had as I waited in the waiting room at the CT scan office was just the worst. I can only imagine what you are going through and it sucks. You have been brace with your ordeal and my prayers are with you brother. I’ve seen guys in this board go through all sorts of illnesses and pull through. You will be another.

Only on painkillers now...
But my nurse is going to start to taper down the doses next month..

Are you able to exercise any? That will increase hunger. Im not able to now because my heart is so bad. Im having more heart surgery next Thursday. Going into surgery is a little scary every time.
