I just had a virus last night.

Out of nowhere some fake anti virus programs were being installed in my computer, such as your pc doctor, internet security 2010 and it woudlnt let me shut it off or delete the program. and internet windows kept poping up. tried doing virus scan but it was useless it wasnt catching anything but i stoped it before it was done. tried using malwarebytes but the virus ruined that program so it woudlnt allow me to open it. CTRL ALT DEL wouldnt work.
so i decided to whipe my whole computer back to factory condition. before i did that i tried safe mode to remove it and it wouldn't work. so i poped in the CD from my laptop to restore it and BOOM! im back!
my background was changed to

YOUR SYSTEM IS INFECTED!! in red big letters and the background was a dark green. it was so weird..

damn... i've been using pc's pretty much my whole life and have gone through so many virus' with different pc's. I just recently converted to mac a few years ago and love it.. way better than a pc IMO. no pop ups or viruses!
