Sure he could. He has already stolen from your kids. Why you'd give a serious addict gear is beyond me however.

To be safe, clean house. If you kept it somewhere he knows about, get rid of it now. Play up the 'he is an addict who stole from my kid, are you really gonna take his word?' angle if it does come to pass he tries to rat you out.
