The pullups you're describing are in the video. Once Platz would burn out full range of motion he would continue on with partial range of motion until there was hardly any ROM at all. Complete and total burn out. I get inspired and burned out just watching his videos! LOL!!
Yup, that is he trained. Balls to the wall. Like the the the
Eveready battery . . . . he would just keep going and going.
Effective for him. That is not called bodybuilding, it is called
mindtraining.
Casey was the complete opposite. Pure controlled movement
to utter failure with a few cheats at the end. But he worked very
hard, very fast, and very briefly. And Arthur would get a few
more reps out of him. Hell he could get a few more reps out of
rock.
I only saw Arthur train once (rare) on a new pulllover machine.
Somebody has ta
ping it. I used to have the tape, maybe I will
still do but that.
After Inge died the day before I arrived there, a friend if mine and
I cleaned out his storage locker . . his request) it would VHS
machine to play it. And it would require require looking at a all
the of VHS tapes. Very time consuming.
I really need to convert them to DVD's. Someday. Next time I am
at my locker ( the storage locker I will take a foto of all the info I
have collected by him, much of which we gave to me, no strings
attached. Might even post a few choice items. You just might be
surprised. impressed. One of a kind.
When we cleaned out his storage locker we threw out probably a mile
of old useless ektchrome film that had gone bad. It has captured his
exploits all over the world I guesss. a piece of history that will
probably never be repeated. Really sad it had spoiled in the Florida
heat and humidify in a metal shed. Off to landfill it went.
