Iconic bodybuilding photos

Who's the little guy on the left!? There's a reason they used Lou as the Hulk.
Interestingly it appears as if Lou dwarfs Arnold there (even Lou's head looks way bigger) but the difference in conditioning is significant. One looks like a healthy offseason bodybuilder who hasn't gotten too fat and Arnold looks in very good competition shape for that time. His quads look really good there too.

Shane DiMora
I remember at the time reading about him in Muscle and Fitness. He was just a few years older than me. Just amazing.

Phil Hill is one of those fascinating figures from the past. Nearly an obscurity in the bodybuilding world except to those who were around in the 80's. Did a few pro shows and disappeared. There is so little information about him. How he trained, dieted, etc. Only that he was from NJ and is/was a corrections officer there. And then there's the fight he supposedly got into with Ron Love at one show.

Every time I've seen clips of him I have to wonder how far he could've gone in the sport. He looked incredible and probably would still show well even by today's standards but for that time I can't imagine too many pros back then matching muscle density and shape with him on a stage.

In Sam Fussell's book Muscle (which I loved) there is a small mention of Phil Hill who Fussell saw backstage at a show pumping up for a guest posing. If I recall, he makes a vague allusion to Hill having a thousand yard stare while doing Seated Calf Raises and possibly being burnt out from the sport.
