I know there’s been threads similar to this, and a couple of the ones I posted are pretty well known photos. But these 3 in particular are why I started bodybuilding. These pictures blew my fucking mind.....and to this day I struggle to comprehend how humans can look like this. Paul Dillet was an otherworldly monster. A literal tyranosaurus and I couldn’t believe a man could look this big. Ever since I saw this photo I’ve just wanted to be as big as humanly possible. And this particular photo of Sergio to me is insane and an ideal build for a man. To this day I don’t think Ive never seen another bodybuilder with this kind of bonkers brachialis development.
Show me some of your favorite pics or ones that inspired you.

Not a BB'er but my younger self was drawn to the guys that just looked absolutely powerful... I competed in both but the inner me is a powerlifter at heart.

Roger Estep was always my ideal physique or what I was shooting for.

Training videos of today's guys are hard to watch in my opinion but one of my all time faves is watching 'Captain Kirk' Karwoski hit a walk out 454kg (1k) squat for a dbl and yell "I WANNA HOLD IT" before racking.

The tiny waist and superior genetics are pretty and shit for stage but looking like a tank in clothes was always more appealing to me.

People always talk about Kai's feathered quads, but Munzer was the OG.

Mentzer's thickness/density was something else.

Being a former powerlifter both of these guys are my heroes. Roger Estero was a monster even by today’s standards

Kevin Horton's infamous photos of Dorian in socks
Great shot. Thanks. Interesting story . . . Dorian did not know het was being
filmed (it is out there on the interment.) Also, those present thought he
was too big and the judges would have a hard time accepting him so he lost
some weight before competing if this is the 'garage' shot above I am thinking
of. There is a good Podcast about this.

Here's an unshopped version

I still think the best legs ever. I was invited to a private posing
exhibition in LA before the Olympia (he should have won) with
just him posing. Took a foto of him with my cousin. (She go
us in through a contact at Golds who was sweet one her.)
You could see the cuts through his sweatpants. Unreal.

Never to be repeated.

I think so

Dorian's stated that the best he ever looked was always 5-6 weeks out from the Mr. O, he always dieted further down to separate himself conditioning wise from everyone else
