Nice work man! You have come a long way with your deadlifts and worked really hard at it. Keep up the good work.
 
I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but why not control the weight on the way down? A good deadlift, to me, should be a smooth ascent AND a smooth descent. Keeping form very tight and under strict control throughout.

but
hes clearly training for the explosive power movement here
perhaps a meet coming up????
which would not be beneficial for him as this could
potentially cause injury

in my meets (wayyyyy back in the day)
i never even bent over to put the weight back down:D
i was always good for a 600 pull at 181

Thanks a lot Bruno..I'm sure you remember how horrible my old DLs were lol. I really acredit how much stronger I got on them from that.

Well, if you'll show me how to control 425 on the way down I'd love to see it. We train DLs on Thur at 5 PM sharp...:p

But seriously, I'm training for strength...so not to worried about lowering it. Plus I'd rather get 1 or 2 more reps than lower 8 slow.
I'm lowering it better than I use to..with some control, but if I have to lower the weight(on the bar) that's not helping, and if I'm lowering it slower, better chance of injury, which also won't be worth it.

That's what I'm aiming for 600 @ 181. :)
