While I agree with your overall sentiment, how can you honestly say Schwarzenegger didn't do some really douchey things when he was in his prime? Sure he had buddies, but in pumping iron I would say he is just as arrogant, if not more, than Phil.

Oh Arnold was very arrogant no doubt, but he tempered that with also being funny and he was friends with his peers and trained with them. Basically he held court and many of the top pro's of the day wanted to hover around him. But it seemed like true comraderie at Gold's in those days. There sport seemed more basic and pure then.
