IGF 1-LR3 and insulin sensitivity

So, I posted a similar thread on another board as I'm looking everywhere I can for answers on this. Does anyone have either experience or scientific knowledge that explains why or how IGF 1-lr3 increases insulin sensitivity?

I've hunted around and it seems to be a general consensus. But, I haven't found any literature explaining why or how etc. I'd be happy with personal experiences.

I'm using lr3 right now and couldn't tell you whether it was helping with insulin sensitivity or hurting. I've never noticed anything that would tell me one way or the other with humalog itself, though we can all assume it's not "helping."

I'm gathering info for an article on the subject (lr3) and just trying to get the best info I can.

I found one study showing igf-1 increased insulin sensitivity...I'll see if I can track it down

I'd like to know more about this topic as well...

I never understood the fact that GH DECREASES insulin sensitivity (even though it converts to IGF). While IGF-1LR3 will INCREASE it.

You gonna post the article here?

I feel sheepish about it, but I can't post the actual completed article here, but will gladly share all the info I gather and come up with. The blog where it'll be is free anhoo.

Awesome. I saw your post over on dat's forum about igf1-lr3 and just want to say that I really do agree with your real world assessment of it. That's kinda what the article will be all about- just looking at it on a practical/real world level. So many people (those new to peptides etc.) are really confused on its value and purpose. They often go into using it expecting great site-enhancement and kind of miss the boat. If you don't mind I'll be happy to reference your posts and ideas on this and give full credit in the article.

I hear you. All these various pathways and mechanisms that these drugs work on get ridiculous. I'm sure there's some scientific explanation for it, but it doesn't always seem to make logical sense.

Use whatever u need...i'd feel honored to be some point of reference....i was actually thinking about doing something similar to ur blog....I have most of the basic science down in my head but conveying that info to other people I still struggle a bit....I'm like the guy that knows how to get somewhere but can't give u directions for shit

I'm kind of the other way around- kinda. I struggle a bit more with the science, but have the gift of gab. Maybe we should build some kind of science-dropping, article-writing robot! :) Honestly, I'd love to collaborate if you are interested. Like if you want to put your ideas together, have me read them, and then join in on putting it all together in an article- I'm happy to do that. I know it sounds funny probably, but I'd be pleased as punch if you and other knowledgeable guys wanted to contribute to "my" blog. I'd really like to make it a repository of articles and info that people can access for free.

The thing that guys like you and me have going is that we're "accessible." It doesn't take a lot to understand what we're trying to put out there. I think there's a value in that. There seems to be a gap between the incredible science geniuses and guys just trying to get started and figure out the basics. There are a handful of geniuses and a multitude of beginners! If I can be somewhere in the middle and distil some of the info into a palatable brew, then I've done something worthwhile!

Let me know what you think.

my understanding is that as a nutrient transporter it clears glucose from the bloodstream very quickly, thus necessitating less of an insulin release from pancreas to clear the remaining glucose. Less circulating insulin means more insulin sensitivity (because less insulin receptors being activated/downregulated).

think of it like two young guys eager to do some work for you to impress you (lets say loading bricks in your pickup truck) - competing with each other to do the work...each will have to do less work total than they would if they were alone...thus they will be 'stronger' at the end of the day.

my lay understanding :)

some good stuff for us in this article about IGF
