Hey guys, this may be a dumb question but can someone explain on a bit of a deeper level what the difference between taking HGH and IGF 1 is?
Thank you

IGF-I is among the most anabolic compounds (comparable but not quite as potent as insulin) in the body, and the most anabolic in skeletal muscle (AAS exerts a good deal of its effect by IGF-I-Akt-...downstream signaling).
GH is an anabolic compound with a short half-life that primarily exerts its anabolic effect by increasing liver (circulating) IGF-I, but has direct action in fat cells (lipolysis) and pleiptropic action at many receptors throughout the body.
GH's negative effects, e.g., hyperglycemia, are opposed by IGF-I's negative effects, e.g., hypoglycemia.
If one had access to real rIGF-I and thus presumably ample funds, one would tend to want to administer BOTH rhGH and rIGF-I as they ameliorate the negatives and complement the positives of one another.
. HGH therapy reduce Insulin sensitivity, IGF-1 enhance insulin sensitivity, both medications promote protein anabolism, lipolysis and lipid oxidation and reduce protein oxidation by... (1/9)
