Illia golem R.I.P...?😐

Do you know what bothers me the most? When I read the comments on those sites and I see all these naive guys say ā€œ His life is complete …He died doing what he lovedā€ā€¦. Like dying at age 36 is glorious.

So let me ask you something. You guys reading this right now you’re doing what you love right? Training/ bodybuilding/ juicing…. Now that we’ve established that, are you ready to die in the next 30 minutes?

He died doing what he loved, yes

But I’m sure he would have much preferred to go on living, continuing to do what he loved

It’s just cope

I actually saw this on the news last night on CBS. Can’t remember if it was rational or the local. They had to make it a point that he ate 5 pounds of steak/red meat a day

His death made the national news here in Portugal. The comment section is a true shitshow

Ive been ready since i was about 25, but i want to live as long as i can and be as big as i can, at the same time i would never advice anybody to live like i do.. i do it because i know my time here on earth is gonna be short due to illness i can do fuck all about. So im not here for a long time, im here for a good time. Same reason i dont have children.

I got very close to death so everything to me now is extra. I cherish my life but I know I can go at any time and that's ok but I'm going to appreciate my time and every day I practice gratitude and I think this practice in itself is healthy and keeps us here a little longer. Life is made to truly live and enjoy. We all die, so just be smart about how u live but don't close yourself off with fear. Live brave and bold! Illia wanted to be a freak and get huge and he did that. He died young but let him rest in peace. He will be remembered as a beast with a soft personality and and nice guy.

The older you get, the less you want to die (at least for me). I had a totally different mentality when I was younger, I had a YOLO attitude and didn't give two fucks about much, then you have kids and your whole world is turned upside down and you begin to realize just how precious life is and how much you are blessed to be here.

There used to be a British guy on this board (and several others) many years ago, username was ThatBloke or something along those lines. Some of you may remember him.

He was in his 20s and often said he didn’t care if he died at 50. I wonder what happened to him

I have seen so many guys who have the attitude of live fast, die young that quickly change it when they are ā€œlucky enoughā€ to skirt death.

As someone who has faced death due to health reasons I can say that I live every minute I have left here to its fullest. BUT that I would drop this sport in a millisecond if it costed me health or the quality of life I have left.

A little secret for younger guys here- you probably think us serious guys talk in DM’s and offline about how much we are ā€œreallyā€ blasting and saying ā€œhell yeah let’s push it.ā€

We aren’t. We are talking about how to do this healthier and not end up dead at 36 from a heart attack.

Seeing stuff like this is sad and should shake a few people IMO.

Condolences to him and his loved ones.

so unfortunately as I suspected…

When you have an enlarged heart you have to be very careful with your blood pressure and pulse because a large heart easily goes into arrhythmia and when it happens it’s a straight road to a heart attack

Spot on. While everyone knows I'm open about pushing the limits many also know the emphasis I place on doing it as healthy as possible - my monthly health supplements / medications bill greatly exceeds my monthly PED bill.

Obviously we don't know if Golem took any medications but this is time for a good reminder that Justin Harris gave a few years ago. He spent a few years reading echocardiograms and said he truly believes if bodybuilders would control their blood pressure they'd avoid 90% of the health issues we often see in the community.

There are tons of blood pressure medications and almost all are dirt cheap. You don't even have to get them from a doctor - you can use a site like All Day Chemist. There's no excuse for guys to not be managing their blood pressure in 2024.

I am right there with you. The very day my first child was born and I looked down into that crib and saw half my DNA there, I realized both "how unimportant my BS self absorbed bbing thoughts were" and "how important it is to be there for my daughters through their most important years" My oldest especially is 100% a daddy's girl and would be absolutely devastated and heartbroken if anything happened to me. I could not fathom dying at 36...really couldnt. I have done some much since I was 36 its unbelievable. I have pretty much accomplished every single one of my goals after the age of 36.....I think younger guys really do not know how truly "young" 36 is.

Daniel you have to remember that a dozen or so additional medications and 30 different supplements will not solve the problem and sometimes even make it worse, as was the case with me, for example, when the cross-effects of many medications and supplements began.

Here, prevention is key, but above all, regular tests - heart eco, ECG, Doppler of blood vessels, mainly lower limbs, ultrasound of internal organs and blood tests, but not once every six months, but at least every 8-12 weeks

And now, let everyone ask themselves an honest question: when was the last time they had such a comprehensive "check-up".....

I agree, people are far too concerned with using pharmakeia to mask their health issues or side effects of their cycles. The less pharmaceuticals the better your health will be, the aim should be to not need any of that to begin with.

I think it's important to emphasise as the drug doses go up, so do the frequency of these more detailed check ups like Echo, CT scan, imaging/ultrasound. These tests become more important when suing multiples grams, double digit iu doses per day of HGH etc...

I'm not saying 250-500mg/wk of total AAS isn't dangerous, it is, and we should all be getting the tests you've detailed.

Do you have any clients that do these tests in the UK? Even if we want things like Cystatin C we have to travel to London to draw blood as they dont accept venous sample over post :/

for me health is more important than money so if I had to go for some tests I would do it without hesitation

I'm in the UK and do all these tests.

Youth Revisited accepts samples in the post.

I also use MediChecks:

Arrange for the sample to be taken at your local doctors surgery if can't travel to London.

Ya it’s crazy, too, because you can think you’re on top of your health but not realize you’re still neglecting something important that could be going nuts in the background.

Like I do bimonthly blood work and echo yearly so figured I was pretty good … I neglected the ultrasound on my internals and when I finally got one discovered the liver tumors and pancreatic cyst. I can only imagine how long those have probably been there as I haven’t used orals or tren in like 7-8 years. Just sitting there with the risk of them turning malignant at any moment. Makes me wonder what else I’m accidentally neglecting that I’ll find out next 🤪.

Definitely wise to do as much testing as you can as frequently as you can (within reason) when playing with this stuff. Not worth becoming a statistic over something that would have been easy to prevent.

These massive humans all standing in line to drink the Kool-aide,
when are we gonna learn?!

Every time I hear someone say they're old, I tell them, 20 years from now, no matter what your age they are at that moment, they'll look back and think, to be that age again! Don't let any pre-conceived notion about a number be a self fulfilling prophecy....just live!!
