Im back on P.M. and back training finally after L4, L5, S1 diskectomy

Hey everyone,

Ive been out for some time due to back issues. I finally went through with the surgery and recouped. I hope everyone has been healthy here, and its great to see so many people are still here.

How's the training going after this procedure? Made any adjustments in your training because of this? I had C4-C6 done last year.

Hope you make a full recovery!

Right now my back feels ok, but Im really just testing the water. So training is medium light and cautious, but my prognosis is very good. When i do go heavier; I already know squats, deads, and barbell rows will have to be kept lighter.

How is your training since your surgery?
 
Good to see you back matey. My back is bad too... I am being strict as if I don't I will just get injured again. All I do are pullups, incline bench db rows and various machines. No deadlifts, barbell/db row without bench support, squats etc. I suggest you do the same for awhile as imo it is better being able to still train hard with some limitations then to not be able to train at all. Goodluck with your rehab :)

Well, if you are like me, I was just happy as hell to be back in the gym. :)

Training is going very well despite two bad rotators. It was a cautious, slow road back, but I feel great, no issues from that now and I have fully recovered. I have made some modifications in my training to keep my neck in a more neutral position at the advice of my PT

I feel after something like this, I have a LOT more form awareness. You learn how to work the muscle hard without sacrificing form or using momentum, etc., putting the joints into compromised positions.

Keep doing what you are doing and you will get there.

Hey brother, good to see you. Yeah I have missed being on here, but soon enough ill be back in the swing of things. Its funny because i was watching a movie last week with oleg in it. Michael
