damn, I gots the itch. The itch to kills me a man(Major Payne) j/k but all joking aside, I need another gun. Nah, you guys just dont understand, I NEED it. I want to hold it, look at it, shoot it, sleep with it. Thinking of a Revolver, preferably a .357 Smith and Wesson or possibly a .44 mag. Something really cool, with like a 10" barrel or something. Maybe a Thompson contender? Damn, so many guns and not enough cash!!

buy a 1911 so much you can do to them. revolver hell i dunno dont own one. dont much care for things with out a safety lol. any way ya 1911 or a cobray mac 11. those are really fun.

A buddy of mine has a 44 mag and the thing is HUGE, its a damn hand cannon.

or get one of these :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lzri8dn7p0&feature=related

Here is the story behind it....
"You may have to watch Recoil twice. Try to follow the gun. This video is
basically a "show and tell" custom built on a Thompson Encore (fancy
version of the Thompson Contender). The Caliber... 600 Nitro Express.
that's right...an elephant gun round in a handgun. The story goes that
the guy that built it is some kind of custom gun maker, and built this
as an exhibition piece. He takes it to the range with him just to show
it off, and the big guy that shot it (in the video) had been bugging the
builder to let him shoot it. Now think about this...only until fairly
recently (early-mid '80's IIRC) the 600 Nitro Express was hands down the
biggest, nastiest, hardest hitting, and heaviest recoiling weapon you
could buy. It was designed for one simple purpose...to knock an elephant
flat on his butt. IMO, it was really built as an exhibition piece for
guys "compensating"...this cartridge is known for breaking collarbones,
arms, shoulders...of the shooter! Think about this, in the gun world
they use what is termed as a "recoil index" to kind of give prospective
buyers an idea of what a gun kicks like.

A .30-06 gets a rating of a 1.0, which for many people is about the
limit of what they can shoot multiple rounds thru comfortably. A 243 is
rated at like a .4, a .270 was like a .8, etc. The ..600 Nitro Express
is rated at 9.4...9.4 times more punishing power than a 30-06. Now watch
the video..."

 my attention has been kept. i want one just to blow a hole in some thing with it. hell same reason i want a 50 call subsonic just to shoot a really big hole.:D

???

Whats the purpose for weapon self defense, conceal carry of just for fun? I have too many of them myself but I carry my lil LCP Ruger 380 daily

Well, I tend to live in a neighborhood that is not the nicest. I leave my Taurus .44 at home in case my wife needs it as I'm gone alot of nights. But I'd like something to keep in my truck too. I'd also like to pick up a used assault shotgun for the house.

maybe not what you're looking for, but i just picked up an hk p30 last weekend. sweetest 9mm i've ever shot.

you can't go wrong with a 1911, though.

Revolvers are nice but IMO not near enough ammo even with a quick reloader. If cost is an issue there is an Argentinian version of a 9mm Browning Hi-Power that once you get a trigger job done (which is inexpensive) and get it balanced, makes for a great pistol for .... uhhhh ..... groundhog hunting:p . I still like the HK USP 40 cal. for pure stopping power, reliability, durability and its just f'ing bad ass! Add a Galco leg rig to either and your ready for some serious training in hostage negitiations that end with the good guy winning!

Make sure that you get a big enough one, to kill those sharks, that mess with you, while you are swimming!:D :p :D

I'm going to buy as many guns as I can. Since the government has deemed steroids far too dangerous for me to take I will legally purchase what the government doesn't think is too dangerous for me to own. What a hypocrisy....Happy hunting

I would get a Glock 30, If I were you. Hell they will fire no matter what you do to them. A Glock will even fire under water, you just cant beat that.

The Glock 30 fires the .45ACP rounds and it's Compact. Also you can buy a Scherer magazine that will hold 25 rounds for it.

Now If we are talking ammo then you can't beat the, .45ACP fragmentable explosive entry fang face round. Then put on a crimson trace laser grip and It's game over for anyone who gets in your way. One shot is all you will need but you will still have 24 rounds left over :D

Now for the assault shotgun, I would go for the Saiga 12. But thats just me ;)

H&K 40 is mine too!

I have one and love it:) Dont even use my Glock 23 anymore since I bought my HK.

A Russian crafted AK-47 is THE best firearm hands down. But if not.
Cant go wrong with 357 or 44 mags. 45's/ 1911's are good but just dont pack the wallop of magnums imo. I see many here are concerned with having enough ammo and prefer autos over revolvers? I suppose if u plan to be home invaded by 7 or more perps or need to fight off mass hordes of living dead:eek: get an auto.

Stay away from 9mms/.38 cal and smaller .... total pussy guns... unless magnum.

If youre looking for home protection, u just cant go wrong with a 10 guage shotgun. EXCELLENT for close quarter encounters and so f-in loud too:cool:

Im in Texas. were gun crazy. for a small fee, we can have our rounds dipped brass, magnesium ( makes it scorching hot) armor piercing...etc...

When I was in Iraq, I used a Colt M4 Carbine Auto . Basically a baby version of the M16 and a banana clip. .223 longs, single, semi a and fully auto, 7 rps ... they wouldnt let me keep it:(

Now that the assult weapon ban has been lifted, go to a gun show and buy from an individual seller. We have gun shows practically every weekend. And you would be almost shocked to see what type of firearms some of these guys posses. Its f-ing scary!

I just got a new pistol, it's for the car and only the cars. It's the Taurus Judge light weight with 5rds of #4shot .410
It's the perfect balance of high stress shooting and pointability. I highly advise all pm shooters to check out a judge to put in their cars. This pistol puts #4shot into a very large 12" pattern at 5', about the distance to someone trying to get into my car from the passenger side.
I choose my carry pistols carefully as I have to carry everyday. I've put many tens of thousands of rounds down range with many pistols. I can carry whatever I want and have the budget to carry any pistol in the world and train with it often. This is what I carry.
I carry a Springfield Armory Operator full dust cover .45 and an HK P7m13. I have to unholster the .45 getting into vehicles, a price you pay for carrying full frame autos. I'm comfortable carrying 2 guns as I have done so for years. The HK is compact enough to not stand out and print in jeans and a tshirt.
The biggest thing in picking a firearm you are going to carry or depend on is not to go by hollywood/media/online mall ninjas. Pick a weapon that is comfortable and one you can hit with.
Firearms are a hot topic on this board. They aren't often discussed but when they are, it gets heated. Recently in the United States the Supreme Court ruled firearms ownership an individual right. PM is a multinational board and the different rules and regulations along with political influences make firearms a difficult subjest for the PM membership. I understand why the moderators slap down some firearms subjects.
