Ok, I am 27 years old and I was just diagnosed with celiac disease, which is an auto-immune disorder, and because my stomach can't digest a protein called gluten my body responds by destroying the lining of my small intestine, severly inhibiting the uptake of many nutrients. I have had a problem with this most of my life but the doctors I have been to in the past have diagnosed it as IBS or irritable bowel syndrome which shares many of the same symptoms, and for his reason many people are misdiagnosed. I will be starting my new diet within the next week and i am interested to see how my progress will be from now on. Unfortunately if my intestines are in very bad shape it may take up to three years for them to heal. But I feel that they are not as bad as they could be because my health is not in total disrepair but I think that this problem I have could have been the reason that my gains have been sporadic and inconsistant. I'll try to keep updating this. thanks for reading
