Improving Athletic footwork???

I am looking for ways to improve footwork for things such as wrestling, boxing and dancing. I know jumprope is one of the ways, but im running out of footwork patterns i can do (for boxing). I also have people im training for these aspects as well.

Any drills other than jump rope that will improve footwork and make you lighter on your feet?

What are some good jump rope drills to improve this as well?
 
just go on a search and look for football equipment...like dot drills...latters ect. Football players have amazing foot work.
 
when you're talking football it's all about the cone drills in my opinion, for db's and wide receivers footwork is everything and they use cone drills (agility drills) to get it down. I know I had a book that outlined Nebraska's training methods and there was alot of info in there.
 
we did a lot of cone drills at purdue but they would be too hard to explain on here
 
my feelings exactly josh, way too difficult to explain on a bbing board. But do some research, you can prolly find some diagrams etc.

yeah, i know his crazy ass...his locker was rights next to mine my freshman year. he was always showing off and telling how much the ladies loved his prince albertlol
 
get a good book on plyometrics. this is hard to learn and apply by yourself, but one of the most usefull things any athlete can do for their "footwork"
 
yup, you knew him...LMAO When I played ball in college I worked at a World Gym that he worked at as well. That guy had some crazy ass stories, he was always telling me about his buddies double teaming some girl and filming porn...he was nuts.
