Has anyone else watched dr Rhonda patrick's youtube video or heard about Hyperthermic conditioning/heat stress. She talks about how it can increase muscle mass, endurance and imcrease insulin sensitivity by exposing yourself to heat stress like a suana.

Apparently no one has seen or heard of this. It was extremely interesting. Basically in the study that was done it did all the things listed in my first post but also degreased insulin by 30%. She talks about how heat stress forces more glucous into the muscles. She also talkes about how stresses to the body like hot and cold cause gene expression.

Hyperthermic conditioning is really interesting, I remember reading about it on the Tim Ferriss blog but never pursued it due to having no access to a sauna:

As always it works rally well on rats / mice. The study on runners showing a 30% increase in endurance is impressive but then again cryotherapy or ice baths is what we commonly read about when it comes to recovery in professional sports.

Thanks for posting, this has reminded me to look into infra red saunas see if they can add anything else to the mix.
