Infection?

My buddy Matt is on his 6th week of a cycle and his last shot hurt the next day and when he came over to show me what he thought was a problem, i did not know what to say...the site of injection is a little red,warm and a lil painful...he said it is not much pain at all unless it is pressed...if this is the start of an infection anything i can tell him to nip it in the "butt" before it becomes a real issue for him....Any over the counter products to take to stop it in its tracks?

Its only one day, I wouldnt worry about it. I get that from time to time. I bet it was a quad shot too right?

I like to keep on hand at all times some Keflex (Cephalexin), just in case something does happen I am prepared.

That is what i told him also...give it a day or two thats all...How does one get Keflex just in case...Dr.?

Take an indelible maker and trace the outside of the redness. This is the only real way to tell if it is growing or not.

The easiest stuff to get is an antibiotic for fish. I'd get the 500mg Cephalexin

Thanks guys.....i will go to the fish store and look for it...i will tell him to outline it and see what it does over the next 24-48 hours

Matt called me this morning and said the reddness is gone and it feels a bit better but it is still swollen up pretty good but it sounds better to me...funny that that happened to him since it is his 8th shot out of the same bottle with no problems..perhaps it just didn't settle right this time...thanks again all who helped out
