Infection??

I did a quad shot last sunday of 1cc test e stealth and 1 and a half cc of stealth para. I woke up on monday my leg hurt it was a little swollen, tue. I started feeling a fever that lasted till thursday, There was 0 redness until today, the weird thing is my fever is gone and the redness is on the other side of my quad from where i injected, not swollen but sore, red and hot to the touch.

I feel fine but do you think I should go see a doctor?

How long was the pin? Some people say the test e hurt's. But my experience with it was good but it was not the high mg.

I always use a 25ga 1in. I only shoot my quads, I remember when I started sticking it in it hurt like hell so I figured I hit a nerve, It also bleed more the normal when I pulled out.

This was my final week of this cycle, I was fine about all of this until it turned red and warm today. I know the stealth test e has high BA so thats why I let it pass without getting all nervous.

Like I said the fever is gone and I feel fine, Its still a lil sore, Im just worried about the redness and warmth now. Do you think wait a few more day or go see the doc asap?

If i need to go whats a good thing to tell the doc in this situation? Bug bit? I inject B12?

At this point I dont have medical insurance so I will be paying cash if that matters.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago with stealth. Apparently there is histamines in stealth products (a member on another board had it tested, can't remember his nick) and to combat this you need to take antihistamines , benadryl etc. It worked for me taking antihist's and haven't had any pain/swelling with fever or side effects since.

High BA content may cause some sort of allergic reaction (swelling, redness, etc...)... that's the response of your body trying to fight what it considers a "poison". In these conditions the use of antihistamines seems indeed pretty logical.

What brand did you exactly use, mac? Dosages, length of treatment? Thanks.

I used Boots (a uk brand, wife had them for mild hayfever) allergy relief 10mg. took 3 throughout the day after my stealth shot , relieved the symptoms. Now when i take a stealth shot i take 1 10mg tab just after shot and one before i go to bed. Haven't had any symptoms since.

It was hit or miss for me with the stealth products. Sometimes I would get abnormal swelling and redness, othertimes were flawless injects. I have come to find the quads are a bad place for me to inject. But again, I tried warming the solution, massaging afterwards, hot tub seemed to help after the inject. Just keep an eye on it, but im sure it will go away. Just sucks, cuz it is probably pretty painful to walk im guessing.

Thanks for all the help guys, I woke up today the spot still has a little redness but the warm feeling has gone away, I dout its infected so Im going to ride it out. Next cycle I will keep some benadryl around.

I think i need to man up and use other injection sites, I only fell comfortable with quads, I dont know why.

You can get inflamation

in other areeas of the body. I had a swollen quad become two swollen quads when swelling moved from one injectin site to the other without another injection.

I have had some experience with the stealth line and the whole "where to inject next" thing. All of this is my own experience from hit and miss school. For me when I hit quads. I know you used an inch and for me anything shorter than an 1'' is too short. I am pretty much an ecto so I feel most of my muscle(especially quads) is pretty tight, If I inject too much or too shallow I have the exact same issues, plus i develop a welt that spreads. I believe it's due to leakage of the compound back out of the muscle where it spreads out subcutaneously. Especially with stealth, because of the histimenic properties, I get a great deal of inflammation, reddness and pain. Even sometimes I'll have issues with the glutes if I'm sitting too much at work, where the compound has no real place to go, the day after a pin I can develop the same problems. A benedryl at night helps as well as ibuprofin. Delts and glutes are the best for me. I have seen on these sites that what is best is really determined on an individual basis. You know the protocols which HAVE TO BE followed, the sites and timing seems to be very much specific to the individuals. Big A has given the best advice on these type issues, for me.

how long before it is obvious in may be an abcess?
I shot in my delt 4 days ago, and it is now hot and swollen, however the injection site is not hot and swollen, but just below it is. 3" in diameter. very firm and hot to the touch. I went ahead and shot in my thigh yesterday and I barely notice any pain.
If I go to the doc, how do I keep him from knowing i gave myself an injection of any type?

i remember when I was 14, my uncle, who was a army vet (field medic) stopped by. at the time I had an earache. he suggested going to the pet store to buy some tetracycline for fish and take one a day until the package was used up. it worked but I now can't help but wonder if that was safe. to get some anti-biotics here in time to save my arm may take too long. i stuck in a needle today, but only blood came out (not a lot either). no pus. perhaps my body is still just doing its job. I am also thinking that I may have shot between the muscles and that is why the swelling epicenter is about 2 inches below the injection site.

just curious, if this is what happened, was the shot a total waste or will the Test be eventually used by the body?
I take Zyrtec daily, so this really should not be my problem, right? or should I pop some benedryl as well?

i'd shoot the glutes if i was able to reach. besides, my job keeps me on my ass half the time. not a good idea. if I hit my quads, i have less problems although it takes me 5 minutes and a cup of sweat beforee I can finally stick myself. my delts have always been the easiest for me to pin.
