injectable anti-inflammatory?

Anyone know of a sterile injectable anti-inflammatory? I'd like to do a run of Syntherol in my calves but found the immflamation and pain was too much to avoid limping heavily while at work. I thought that mixing in something to calm things down might let me complete the cycle, instead of waiting for next year when I can take a month off.

Any comments about this idea are also appreciated.

Muscle growth is intimately tied with inflammation. I suspect that reducing the inflammation will also reduce the intended effect of the SEO.

Cortisone is the "standard" injectable anti-inflammatory but it is a glucocorticoid and so is catabolic and immunisuppressive. I don't think you want an antinflammatory but rather a local anaesthetic, but I wouldn't recommend this either as the anaesthetic effect may lead you to injure yourself during SEO application or during training.

Bad idea I think.

Lidocaine would be a better alternative to cortisone although I you would probably have to get a script for that.
