Injecting into a vein?

Aspirating when injecting into the bicep should be really pretty easy. It takes verrrry little back pressure to suck blood up into the syringe. Blood is so thin that it draws much much easier than the oil that you're injecting.

I talked with a nurse and she said it is nearly impossible to inject into a vein by accident although it does happen to everyone sometimes. It wouldn't matter if its oil or water, the chances and danger are probably the same.

Having said that, just aspirate. Better be safe than sorry.

I definitely will aspirate,but what im trying to say is if i aspirate with one hand the pin will move in and out a bit,so what if theres no blood but then i inject.Are there lots of veins in the bis?and also is it bad to inject into a flexed bi as it seems easier?

All major veins and arteries in legs and arms are on top of the muscle right underneath the subcutaneous fat. The muscles are fed and cleaned by smaller veins and arteries comming from the larger ones. You should be able to see the large veins and arteries.
I understand your concern. Its not very common, if at all, that people are seriously injured by self injections of anything. We would hear about it all the time first hand from people on these boards. I'm not saying it can't happen. But if you are careful and practice safety then you should be fine. And if your having a hard time doing the injection then get someone to help.
