Inspiring post from a friend/mentor

I’m one of those weirdos who enjoys engaging with life coaches and mentors, and I was lucky enough to connect with one of the most important figures in my life when I was 16, and he ran a company I worked for. He’s since become a bit of a life coach guru and we stay in touch.

He posted the below this morning, and I thought I’d share here:

“If you’re waiting for someone to save you,

Whether you think it’s JB, or the UN,

or DT, Q, Aliens, Nesara, whatever...

You’re totally missing the whole point.

There is no “they”.

Everything you perceive is all part of the same consciousness, and you are really perceiving mirrored aspects of yourself.

The “they” that you are either worried about or hoping for, is a waste of time and energy.

I’ve done this as much as anyone, so I’m not pointing fingers.

But it’s a colossal leak of energy to focus on anything other than building the life for yourself that YOU are most inspired to build.

Imagination guided by inspiration is the real creative power on this planet.

Your attention is harvested by shadow versions of you that you label as “wrong”, “evil” and “dark”.

And every time you invest your attention there it grows.

My advice is to turn your attention towards only the things that make you feel more like YOU.

Having fun is the ultimate creative advantage (and adventure).

You have all the tools and resources you need to take the best next steps towards a life that is truly free.

Let the old systems fall away as they do not qualify for your attention any longer.

I am doing this by building a life of near total reliance on what I can control,and I am withdrawing my energy from systems and structures that don’t align with my mission.

There are no victims, and there are no villains.

Not at the deepest level of knowing.

Just you, playing the game of Life with other aspects of You.

What kind of game will you play today?”

Thanks for posting this brother, and perfect timing. I have therapy twice a month and
just last week I had this "aha" moment and realization that I am constantly chasing my "ideal/best self" all the time, and there's an all out war going inside me between my perception of an ideal self and my less than ideal self, when in reality, it's all the same damn thing. There's no "bad" me or "good" me, it's all in the journey. And we can find ways to enjoy the journey or to loathe it, and everything in between, but it all comes down to choice. That is the game we play.

A parable that may apply . . .

A grandfather is talking with his grandson.

The grandfather says, “In life, there are two wolves inside of us which are always at battle.

One is a good wolf which represents things like kindness, bravery, and love.

The other is a bad wolf which represents things like greed, hatred, and fear”.

The grandson stops and thinks about it for a second then he looks up at his grandfather and says, “Grandfather, which one wins?”

The grandfather replies, “The one you feed.”
