Insulin and BCAA's

For my own reasons, I've wanted to consume no carbohydrates until the evening and only eat protein/fat meals throughout the day. One of the reasons is to capitalize on fat burning throughout the day as insulin levels are low upon rising.

Would consuming BCAA's in the morning nullify this? I know they spike insulin, but is it significant enough to flip the switch, so to speak, and have the body go back to burning carbs for energy? Reading on the internet there doesn't seem to be a clear answer. Fat cannot be burned in the presence of insulin, but I'm wondering if there is a misconception between a standalone insulin spike from aminos and protein and the blood glucose rise one gets from carbohydrates.

Any input would be appreciated, thank you.

If you're trying to IF i wouldnt use bcaas. If you're eating 6 regular meals a day with occasional bcaas between pro/fat meals go for it.

I think everyone would respond different
The best bet would be to use a glucose meter

I'd be more worried about "flipping the switch" from catabolic to anabolic, especially first thing in the morning. 10g of bcaa's should have a minimal impact on blood sugar level / insulin release. When cutting, equal amount of attention should be placed on preserving muscle vs losing bodyfat. Good luck.

At the end of the day it’s calorie deficit while saving as much muscle as you can

If you're not eating carbs, how could your body go back to burning them for energy?

This will work but you need to be in a state of ketoses for your metabolism to make the conversion. The protein also takes longer to convert to off set the carbs so you need to account for that.
Best of luck!

the only way to determine this will work.....is to try it....!!!

NO ONE.....and I say NO ONE....can say for certain how you
will respond to this protocol.....

wayyy too many variables to consider.....

I tried it. It works! IMO, anyone that hasn't tried it shouldn't be hypothesizing about it.
