I'm not saying its a bad method, and I'm not educated enough on the subject to have any kind of argument.
I've heard this before, "match your insulin dose to the carbs". I think that makes sense if your a sedentary diabetic with a medical condition. You're about to hit up a sushi joint with your friends so you want to match your insulin dose with what you are eating. However, in my uneducated mind, if I'm a bodybuilder with a goal I want to push the humalog dose up and eat accordingly. Call out my error in thinking, I respect your experience, I'm open to ideas.
When I take 10ius of humalog I need about 100-120g of carbs, depends on the day, otherwise I can feel my blood sugar dropping during the workout. As M@NU mentioned I tend to eat a heavier meal which is probably the reason. I'm not too much into sugary drinks. So I just prefer to take insulin post workout and eat a shit ton.
