If you take insulin for bodybuilding purposes (non-diabetic) what would your blood sugar readings be after injecting it? They would be low, correct? Or if I tested my blood sugar before injecting and then after the second one would be lower?
If you allow yourself to go hypo, yes. But the point is to consume carbs early enough in the window to avoid going hypo and having low blood sugar. If blood sugar gets low thats when problems occur and you risk fainting or going into a diabetic coma worst case scenario.. or even death. You consume carbs when the insulin spikes to prevent low blood sugar and hypo symptoms.

Normaly if you test your blood sugar before you eat then after you eat a big carb meal the number will be higher
diabetics take insulin because their body doesnt produce enough to drop this number back down hence diabetics with BG # in the 200's consistanly!!
But if you took your BG , ate a big carbs meal then took insulin the number would not be nearly as high as before. the insulin lowers the blood glucose level
Now if you take insulin and dont eat carbs the BG levels could get dangerously low.
When body builders take insulin the are taking it as a nutrient shuttle not so much to lower their blood glucose levels. The insulin is administered then meals with carbs are eaten for the active life of the insulin , this prevent the blood glucose from dropping to low
