Insulin Sensitivity

So I ran a few cycles of insulin in 2009-2010 and got good results from the first few (I think 10iu/day). After that I noticed I wasn't getting much of anything from the cycles.

My insulin sensitivity diminished and I wasn't willing to increase my dose to the levels some of the pro's allegedly use.

I'm wondering after ~6years of non use, if my insulin sensitivity has returned to normal or not? What do you guys think?

It should be back to normal.
Pinning insulin here and there doesnt suppress insulin sensitivity very much. Especially if you are replacing the glucose well. Your body is just thinking that you are eating lots and naturally just getting high insulin in your blood.

Good thinking for staying on 10 units.

What were you using? Fast acting or long acting?

How much did you gain?

You can keep on using and depend on your body, the effect will better

The first time I got 10 lbs off of it. The second 8 lbs. The third time ~5 lbs. Then nothing (trying a couple times; even with a year or so in between). :) All on 10 iu's.

Get yourself some IGF-1. That will re-sensitize you.

You know you can use less than 10IUs and increase over time...

Quick solution; check your fasted blood glucose levels.

it all depends on your body fat and the dose is individual! if your making progress on 4iu pre workout why use 10iu? if you have to keep increasing the dose of insulin you'll need to do a mini diet to reestablish sensitivity and reduce some body fat!

It has been long enough for you to try it out and see what happens, i would recommend starting at a lower dose though and working your way up, i think this will be a more effective approach

You should expect to gain less with more runs at insulin use, but that's likely more due to how much more LBM you're carrying and how much harder it gets to gain mass. Everyone's first AAS cycle is always their best, because it's easy to go from natty to enhanced and blow up 20-30lbs in a couple months. When you're 250lbs @ 10% obviously gaining 10lbs is a lot harder than when you were 200.

Metformin, Tren, keto dieting. All great ways to regain insulin sensitivity, but fasting glucose levels will show if you have a problem to begin with.
