Insulin w/ carb up pre-contest and prior to going on stage

I just wanted to get you guys thoughts on this. Who has done it and what was your expierence with it. Did it help fill you out faster? I know several guys who do Humalog about 30 mins before going out for prejudging. Anyone tried this as well? Any input is appreciated.
 
i know a really close friend that will never use insulin again for a precontest carb load. he went from ripped and ready to soft looking during his pump up back stage. it cost him 1st place. he still got second but 1st is the only place that counts. he may have overdone it and there is probably a correct way to do it but unless you know that way for sure don't risk it. it can ruin everything.

Im gonna agree. I dunno if slin is part of the reason i got fucked up or just too much sodium, but i do know i was sittin there worried the entire time about going hypo with all the slin i had in me. Benefits dont outweigh the risk and possible fuckup.
 
I think if its done right its of geat benefit, timing is everything...just like water restriction/manipulation.
 
Their are studies....

out there on insulin and water retention. If u do a search under diabtetes and edema I found some articles that some people were presrcibed a diuretic because of some of the water retaining properties of insulin. Dont know though their needs to be more studies done or found.

I personally wouldn't do it or recommend it.
the key is knowing how to and most people don't know in that critical depleted state.
Nothing a good shitload ;) can't do better safer and more fun IMO. :D

Massive I gotta agree with you on that...I was just kinda feelin out answers. I had someone suggest I do this and I don't think its a good idea to be honest. If you are in shape, you are in shape....I think a trip to IHOP the morning of if you are dry and hard will take care of that and adding a LITTLE extra sodium. I think some go overboard on the sodium thing and it kills their physique in the end.
