Intense Calf Cramps Doing Cardio

After about 20-25 minutes of light cardio my calves start to cramp up and burn very badly to the point that I have to stop.

It's better on the rowing machine and bike, but on the stepper or treadmill I might as well forget it.

Even a short walk from the station in the morning is becoming a chore and painful!

I'm currently on Tren Ace, Bold and Winstrol (tab), and I'm fully hydrated too.

Anything I can do to stop the cramping or just try and work around it?

Jimb,
Im on ace as well and get the same thing. I get bad back pumps which taurine helps a lot but nothing works for my calves. So i would say just gotta push threw it. I actually have learned to deal with it over the years, so im sure the same will go for you.

Yep, get the lower back pumps too.

Thanks for the reply, good to know it'll go and just to put up with it for the time being.

Cheers Diesel

Warn them up first slowly for good ten minutes

I would say its from your cycle.probably pushing off with the front of your foot that s it creating so much blood to the muscle.

I'm not sure myself, so this is question to those with more knowledge. Would adding Taurine and possibly some potassium help with the cramping?

Taurine helps me with back cramps and pumps but doesnt seem to work for my calves which is weird.

That is quite odd. Taurine should help with cramping no matter where....at least from everything I have read.

I've also read that B-vitamins have the potential to help with leg cramps (but more research needs to be done in this area) as well as magnesium and calcium.

Additionally, too much caffeine can cause cramping.

Had a friend with this same issue. He went to the doctor, and the doc said it was his shoes that was causing the problem. Give it a shot?

your contracting your muscle at the wrong angle, me guess your calves are under developed?

I know exactly what your talking about. I get them all the time on heavier cycles. Its from the gear. Drop the doses back and it will go away or at least lessen the painful pumps.

I used to do a lot of treadmill, especially on incline settings.

Two things I found out about cramps, they come usually from lack of hydration which you mention you have covered, and the other is basically exhausted muscles, over fatigued.
I had the same problems when I did the same cardio over and over, especially treadmill.
It got so bad I was cramping in the middle of the night and early morning.
Taurine was no help.

Rotate around the cardio you do, sounds like you may have allready with the bike and rower.
