My understanding is that he had his colon removed?

Im curious as to how he is able digest food properly esp at the level required for a competitive bodybuilder. Sounds like he has overcome alot. Very impressive.

Sorry if I seem like im prying

I have had the same procedure recently but still have two more operations to go. Im not able to train at all for a good 6 months. Just wanted to get some info from.a bodybuilder with same surgery. Info about procedure and bodybuilders is minimal. My colon removed.because of severe colitis by the way

OMG you had your entire large intestine removed! So I take it that you have to wear a colostomey bag? wow how do you do it? thats incredible

Not speaking for john but an colostomy or ileostomy isnt always required. A "replacement" colon is made from the small intestine eliminating need for an ostomy. But it sounds like absorbing foods etc still a challenge
