I am looking to buy some investment properties, maybe some single family residents duplex or even a small apartment. Anyone have a suggestion of good cities to look at? I have been looking in Dallas, fort-worth, Austin Salt lake and Denver.

The DFW area has a booming housing and rental market so it would be a good place to invest. Austin and Houston are doing well too.

I live in Austin and my parents live in the keller/westlake area.

Austin is an amazing place if you want to put your house up for rent but if you are looking for your property to really increase in value due DFW area like keller. It is a fast growing town with nothing but mostly wealthy people living there.

Being that blackstone and 4 other major private equity firms which have collectively bought over $25B in private residential RE (which has never happened before) has now STOPPED buying, because they have priced themselves out of the mkt.... WHY do you feel its a good time to buy investment properties?
