Good stuff from Dave Palumbo

Blood pressure number one cause for kidney issues

low blood sugar, if its not under 90 when fasting , doing some long acting insulin for 3-4 months can help reset

Im interested in doing this bc my blood sugar has been high

what do you do talk with your doctor , tell them about this and ask for a script of long acting insulin?

as far as im aware no lng acting versions are sold otc , and only intermediate

Make sure to play the video for your doctor when you ask for the insulin. So you two are on the same page...

There are other ways to lower your blood sugar. If you asked for insulin from your doctor he/she will probably laugh at you. Lots of risk for them with zero literature explaining any reason that do this.

High blood pressure is going to damage the smaller vascular systems in the body before the larger ones as they are more delicate.
I have not really seen anything that shows eating a high carb diet and having elevated glucose levels is a healthy thing in the long run for several reasons. Trying to manage what is a relatively unhealthy behavior is better then nothing. But if health is a priority then controlling the behavior may be a better choice.

Great content by Dave.

Wait , so if Tren isn’t kidney toxic and it only causes kidney issues from it raising your blood pressure then I should not have anything to worry about if I don’t get increased blood pressure when I take Tren???

And the dark urine , stronger smell and foamy piss that I only get when I take Tren isn’t anything to worry about??

It’s not blood sugar people need to check, it’s insulin levels in the blood..

My blood sugar was 73 when fasting but my blood insulin level was 34.5 mU/L

Reference range was 3.0-25

So my Insulin was super high to be able to keep blood sugar that low...

HUGE PROBLEM!!

Insulin causes inflammation and is correlated with tons of diseases..

Blood sugar means squat shit...

Dr. Serrano has a video on this...

I wouldn't say blood sugar is meaningless. If it runs too high, it means
A) your body is not sensitive to the insulin you're producing, or
B) your body cannot produce enough insulin to lower it.

How can you test for blood insulin levels at home?

You can’t lol and I don’t mean meaningless, but the insulin blood levels are specific, I had to ask my doctor to do it with my blood work.. It’s a separate test.

So those who get blood work once a year or 2 but monitor blood glucose, Yea, useless to them.. lol

You can’t measure it any other way that I’m aware of...

I personally believe that the dark urine from tren is all myoglobin causing mild rhabdo in the kidneys. It's an indirect effect of the increased strength tren gives you.

Could very well be but , isn't rhabdomyolysis know for causing significant kidney damage??

I think keeping blood pressure in line through meds is crucial, but addressing the bigger issue that guys are too damn heavy as they get older is more important.

You can be loaded to the tits on ace inhibitors and ARBs, but it's better to fix the issue from a health standpoint. Staying leaner in the off season is part of fixing the issue, and not blowing up like a tic. Yoyoing in weight is really not a smart approach; especially for the older guys.

But competitively guys will do what they need to do; just do it in the time frame your body is more resilient...

Rhabdo is myoglobin crystalizing in the renal tubules until they are completely clogged, that dark orangish color in urine is almost for sure myoglobin, it's not full-blown rhabdo because there isn't enough to crystallize, or if there is, only in some of the tubules, not all of them. An acidic environment (caused from breaking down too much protein- uric acid) and lack of adequate hydration increase the chance that myoglobin will crystallize.

Just think of how unhealthy it is when body builders are injecting large amounts of insulin.

And Dave Palumbo says just shoot some up for a few months to reset yourself?

I’m going to start charging people on the internet for nonsense too... lol Sounds like I’m missing out on easy money...

Didn't Dave have some huge Irish powerlifter on there saying that there's studies showing tren is kidney toxic even without high bp?

Good Palumbo:lightbulb:

If you have elevated blood glucose due to insulin resistance (e.g from GH abuse), then you have 3 options, from worst to best:
1) Do nothing, in which case your pancreas continues to be burnt out until you are a type 2 diabetic.

2) Replace baseline endogenous insulin production with long-acting exogenous insulin. This is what Dave is suggesting. If your blood glucose is elevated, this means that your pancreas cannot produce enough insulin to maintain optimal blood glucose levels, indicating that it is overtaxed. You therefore replace this endogenous baseline insulin production with a long-acting insulin like lantus, allowing your pancreas to regenerate. However, you only want to replace the amount you would be naturally producing (or a little more to keep blood glucose levels just in range), not much more, since otherwise you may worsen the underlying insulin resistance. Still, the logic behind this recommendation of Dave is solid. It's just that there is an even better option, namely:

3) Fix the underlying insulin resistance and/or excessive gluconeogenesis from stuff like GH. For example, i) use Metformin or Berberine, ii) lower GH dose, iii) lower body fat, iv) do more cardio, v) use more androgens, vi) use supps like Cinnamon extract, ALCAR, ALA, etc. If you can bring down your blood glucose levels to acceptable levels this way, that is optimal. If not, also use option 2.

Bad Palumbo:naughty:

Anabolic steroids have detrimental effects on kidneys independent of increases in blood pressure. So don't think just because your blood pressure is in check, your kidneys will be fine. Instead, keep tabs on bloodwork and avoid harsh compounds like tren (even though we don't know much beyond anecdotal evidence about its effect on kidneys.). Counteract detrimental effects of AAS on renin-angiotensin system by means of ACEi/ARBs unless contraindicated). Also, keep blood glucose levels in check, hydrate, have an anti-inflammatory diet, maintain sufficient antioxidant capacity with foods and supps.

Mr. Palumbo

I really enjoyed this video. I also like Dave Palumbo.....dude is pretty smart. I like how he says insulin related therapy. Maybe I've been living in another world but never heard someone say that before.

Insulin doesn't cause insulin resistance, glucose does, they (doctors) used to think insulin caused it but now they no longer believe that. It's the glucose that causes it. This is straight from the mouth of my endo who is diabetes specialist, I see him tomorrow, I'm going to ask again to be sure.

I don't see where fasted(12 hour) glucose levels are a good indicator. How often do most people go over 12 hours between eating. How quick one can get their glucose levels back to a healthy level is more important. With my diet and supps my last few non-fasted tests ranged from 80 to the upper 90's.
