Is Bulking Necessary for huge gains?

Why do you have to get fat when bulking?
Throw the calorie counter out the window and count protein carbs and essential fats eat 6-8 meals (3-4 as meals 3-4 shakes) a day pay attention to pre post and night time (nutrition) utilize a carb cut off after 6-8 PM depending on bed time etc.
Do moderate cardio ED or EOD. Eat a junk meal or two a week.
Most people are lazy and eat shit..and use bulking as an excuse to look like shit. ;)
 
depends on your body, as well...

some people are hard gainers, some get fat easily, etc...

Just try to stick to quality foods...and if your body can afford it, add some junk in there now and then...

I can eat 5k cals/day with some junk in there, and not get fat...I was at my fattest about 14 weeks out and by the time I was 12 weeks out I was 10% or under.

I agree with Both MG and BigWilly.
Depending on your metabolisim and line Of work.

For me I have to EAT to Gain size and get the scales to tip.
3500 Just wouldnt be enough for bulking Up imo..atleast for my body.

Its not easy to get in 300-400+ grams of protein day in and day out.
I think if you can do that consistantly along with everything else it takes
(traning,supplement,an sleep wise) youll grow.

MG, your exactly right there. Most do use "bulking" as an excuse to eat like shit. Thats not what I was saying at all.

Large amounts of the right kinds of foods will allow anyone to gain better than large amounts of shit foods. Common sense here.

Jahras, I guess what I am most trying to convey is your very young... Shoot for moderate gains in diet and supp's and be consistant over time this way you will build the best and most complete body. You got plenty of time.

a lot of great info i just read- I figured it out and went with how I felt-tried diff things out throughout my bodybuilding trails and errors- and found what most of you said is right- right now i am consuming about 3800 cals with ketchup added and crystal lite added- sometimes I eat some more carbs sometimes I eat less- most of the time it adds up to 4k cals with about 300g protein 500 carbs and low fat- about 60-70 g. I feel good with that- I had a couple of cheat meals here and there but man do i feel like junk thro out the night and day after that i can barely eat the next day becuase I go pretty hard on my cheat meals- but I just eat clean and good- fruits like pineapple,rice, pro shakes, oats, chicken, ketchup, crystal lite, is basically my plan along with some additives like splenda and cinnamon which is not much- it tastes great and I enjoy how I feel- i will def stick to this and If I want to cheat once in a while I will, but fruit does the trick for me truly- it happens to so far be the best plan because I didnt blow up to 230 after a week of hard eating I maintained my physique after leaning out and I feel like i am gaining correctly and not getting fat- I will gauge my progress with this plan-thanks for everything guys!

Make sure its "brown" rice, NOT white - preferably long grain brown rice. The difference is NIGHT and DAY! ;)

thanks for the tip, but I personally do not like brown rice, i stick to long grain white rice from sams club...it has always been good to me along with my oats...rice and ketchup to me is perfect...but anyway, my diet is really ending up being a base diet with 4k cals, with what I said before 500 carbs, 300 protein 70g fat, and then it seems to either stick at that or if i want i get something else, whether it be fruit or a big mac with fries or whatever, it seems to work for me because I am content with the offseason and not blowing up- I will stick with this, but it feels damn good knowing that I can have a big mac anytime I want to as long as I get my good cals in first....what do you guys think...I hope to gain some good muscle over the next few years with this, along with increasing the cals if there is a sticking pt...the gear is not always the answer, I want to be consistent and be in this game for a long time, test is always my offseason drug of choice and only test, when i reach that limit I will add gh and then slin(in like 10 years or so when i am reaching 30+ years old). but until then this is what I plan
