Is Glucosamine containing Chondroitin and MSM good for bursitis and tendonitis?

Is Glucosamine containing Chondroitin and MSM good for shoulder bursitis? What about shoulder tendonitis?

For those of you who do take it:

1. Do you take all the pills in one sitting or do you spread them out during the day?

2. Does it matter what time of day you take them?

3. Do you take them with food?

4. Do you cycle them or do you take them year round?
 
IMO do not expect anything from glucosamine / chondriton. I put it in the same category as extra vitamin c or multivitamins. Good to include in your diet but will do very little in terms of improvement.

I used it religiously for some time 1500 mg / 1200 mg and took mine in divided doses. I had a tricep tear (elbow) in December. I have not noticed anything in terms of it helping nor did it prevent it. I would not expect it to help with tendonitis though (just time off).

So to answer your questions---

I don't think splitting them up makes a bit of difference.
Time of day makes no difference
I take all vitamins and minerals with food
I think cycling all foods or minerals is smart but it would be like 4 months on with 1 month off or maybe changing the company the produces them.
 
check your dosages

for me it works wonders. i take it twice a day, 12 hours apart w/ meals.

it takes two weeks to kick in, and two weeks after i stop for my shoulder to start hurting again.

i was off for a month and just went back on it (i take a little over 2000mg/day) about 10 days ago, i can feel it starting to kick in again.

this was posted on another board, it was recommended by a sports med. specialist....

Less than 120lbs: 1000mg glucosamine and 800mg chondtroitin (a.m. and p.m.)

120lbs to 200lbs: 1500mg glucosamine and 1200mg chondtroitin ( a.m. and p.m.)

Over 200lbs: 2000mg glucosamine and 1600 chondtroitin ( a.m. and p.m.)




the times dont matter, basically just 12 hours apart. once i went up to 2g i did feel like it worked better than at 1g

cissus works best for me. also do not take anything that will completely zero out your cortisol or estro levels. letrozole and tren are two such compounds i'd stay away from.
 
I have bursitis in my shoulders andproducts like this seem to help me out as well.
 
Given the low cost, they are kind of a must take, like vitamins. That said, for whatever reason, I've had better luck with fish oils.
