Hey anything is possible. It all depends on how much sufferi ng and sacrifice you are willing to go through. On the other side you had better make sure your nutition is 110% on the money every hour of every day or you will catabolise muscle somewhere down the line. 8-10% is much more realistic and maintainable. IMO.
 
i dont know man. being that lean is extremely hard. most bbers when they compete are around that range and are severely depleted.

doing it without being hungry all the time would be difficult, especially if you are working out everyday and have a decent amount of muscle.

unless your a naturally lean individual in the first place and you have the genetics for such a thing.

as oldfella stated, i think 8-10% is much more realistic and you will be plenty ripped at sub 10% bf.

It's impossible to maintain that level of body fat year-around and maintain significant muscle mass.

A few freaks in a million could maintain 5% year-around, but it wouldn't be possible to train for hypertrophy and maintain that body fat indefinitely. Your body would simply eat all your muscle weight not absolutely essential to survival.

As a body building, I think the least possible body fat you could maintain year-around while not losing muscle mass would be around 6%.

I'd be interested to hear what some competitors think. What if you loaded up after a show to 6%, and tried to train for the rest of the year at that body fat and continue to build muscle. Possible?
