i think its due to siln and gh abuse
and the whole general "the more is better" thing thats going on today

i agree with your input.....test is not the culprit......gh and slin are both ruining the bodies of today......back in the 70s and 80s......guys were using anavar.....dbol....a-50.....test.....deca.....and so on......but......today the gh guts are plentiful......and the slin use is insane.....not to mention the damn synthol......we need to get back to the 70s.....80s......and early 90s!!!!

looks like if you added gh and slin to SERGE you would end up with VIC. their physiques are very similar. but, its not a fair comparison pic cuz you gotta remember VIC outweighs SERGE by at least 30lbs...?

putting two pictures side by side is a lot different then standing two people side to side. you stand those two bodies next to each other on a stage and its not even close. you may like the old school look more but you cant even make a comparison using bodybuilding judging standards. you get guys showing up at the team universe who are just as big/bigger and more conditioned than the guys from the 70s and 80s.

+1^ the midsection of today is horrible compared to the early days. Distended mids was discussed in another thread not long ago. Lets see a mass monster of today try the vacuum pose.

There was a simple article written by Arnold, in Flex mag about the vacuum pose and how it isnt done anymore, due to the fact that it cant, basically.

These pro's waists are so wide, and distended, they physically cannot pull off a decent vacuum. They can try. Im sure they can suck it in a little. But no where to the degree Arnold and others in the past could.
