thats what i was thinkin but vid called it arm day... i dont associate delts with an "arm wk out" but maybe this guy does...

his arms tho:eek:

Yeah it’s a front raise for front delt.
Awesome video thx for posting great motivation!

looks like a front raise with a supinated grip for the anterior delts

Interesting way to do them. I think that puts some strain on the biceps too, since you have to hold the arm in that position. Might even work the triceps some too. Most guys lock out the arms and do it pronated.

yup. it looked lil weird to me. kinda posted before i really analyzed it. pro genetics are just ridic.

i love how gently he put the barbell down:D
Lunk alarms would be goin off all over the place at pf:eek:

Charles does some really different stuff, but it works for him. I once saw a video of him underhand or neutral grip pulldowns but making it a curl for the biceps with a short ROM instead of an actual pulldown for the back, and he explicitly said that's what he was trying to do.

Very noticeable SEO use in arms and delts, not a good look.

I really noticed his triceps sticking out weird, otherwise its not too bad but you can still tell.

It's not that unusual to see, but it certainly has no advantage over conventional grip. People like to turn the nuts even if it does not make sense.

Only reason I could think of for doing it that way would be if you had some kind of forearm injury on the extensor side and wanted to keep the stress off of that because of pain.

i don't really understand why any competitive bodybuilder would do any direct work for their anterior delts. have you ever seen a pro with poorly developed anterior delts? Neither have i. rear and medial delts, sure but not front. On top of this, most competitive bodybuilders are training their chests pretty hard and the front delts take a pretty big hit from all the chest work. i know personally my front delts get very sore from any kind of chest pressing work, be it incline, flat, and/or dips (especially with dips). If you were to make the argument that it's for warming up or restorative work, that would make more sense.

Perhaps their highly developed front delts are due to them doing the direct front delt work. :lightbulb:

but the more sensible argument would more or less be that their front delts are highly developed as a result of heavy chest pressing or even shoulder pressing. nice quote in your sig by the way. Love that movie and miss the Hot Rod.
