It’s with huge sadness that my sister just passed away

Hi guys it’s with huge sadness for me to say my sister lost her battle with cancer. She was only 62. She been battling leukemia for a few years and got a bone marrow transplant and was in remission for two years but it came back. They put the second half of the bone marrow from the original donor, but unfortunately it wasn’t as good result as the first time. She passed away in hospice at 3:30 pm today. I’ve just been in shock that couldn’t come on here and write this. I know some of you I’m really close too and some of you don’t like me for one reason or another. But for those that don’t please this is not the time to post anything negative or nonsense and I ask you respect my lost. I hold no grudges against those that may not like me but please just be respectful. God bless all of you and spend as much time as you can with your loved ones and tell them as often as you can how much you love them and how important they are to you. You never know when god decides to take them away

Do you mind me asking what her symptoms were that led to the original screening or questioning that something was wrong?

I don’t fear anything in life except for a slow painful death from cancer. It’s probably my only fear. Regardless I hope it was relatively painless for her (I mean I know bone marrow transplants are brutal, but if there was a chance it worked, it was worth a shot)

Sorry for your loss. I’m sending my condolences brother it’s hard when we lose someone. You are correct, we are here for a short time and we need to cherish every moment we spend with each other. I lost a coworker to leukemia a few years ago cancer is terrible. Stay strong and I’m sending prayers to your sister, you and your family and friends God bless you.

My most sincere apologies pimpman. I hope that in this troubled time you spend your time reflecting on the amazing time you got to spend with her. Embrace the good memories, this is a beautiful life and I am sure she considered herself lucky to call you her brother.
