So I havent been around in a long time. To make a long story as brief as possible I came off of everything last year when my wife and I decided to try for kids. I started boxing instead of lifting and lost a ton of muscle which was to be expected.

After several doctors visits my testosterone was in the toilet at 160 with my LH and FSH at 3 times the normal levels in february of this year. After a doctor prescribed 25mg clomid ED for 3 months there was minimal improvement up to a whopping 250 total testosterone and a massive 10K sperm...lol

I asked the Doctor about HCG and HMG which Ive been on at 3000 units of HCG and 75 units of HMG 3x a week and now test is 680 as of last monday but the sperm production is 0. Which from 10K is normal fluctuation.

Anyway I started back at the gym last week and besides being weak as a kitten and having no appetite it feels good to be back. Im picking back up on PHil Hernons first routine he gave me and making an attempt at eating a measly 250G protien a day and trying to get back into it.

With my situation I have to go all natural at this until we have a child and some back up samples for a second kid. Its just really good to be back at it and back around here so I can figure out how to do this without "help".

Oh after seeing a specialist in NYC that doctor believes I was born with Primary Hypogonadism and that it was not caused by AAS use. I have no false hopes that Ill be as big or strong as I was but I never felt right not training so as for now thats just the whole point of it.
 
I took about 7 years off training from about the age 26-33. I actually got serious into competitive road cycling. Went from 220 to a racing weight of 160. When I went back to the gym about 5 years ago it was a very refreshing change. The first month was ridiculous because I hadn't lifted any weights in years but in about two years with better commitment on my diet than when I was younger I was in the best looking shape of my life. I'm not a competitor just some that loves intense training.

Good to hear from you again. I'm not sure how much muscle you'll recover without any testosterone but I'd say you could probably get some back with muscle memory. Once you can play with your test levels again, you can get it all back fast I'm sure. I'm in a similar situation where I've been out of the gym (forced) and plan to get it back quick.

That just depends on weather or not you had an issue before starting. The doctors seem to think I did and it was not something caused by AAS. In most cases they said that post AAS use results in low FSH and LH. with mine elevated 3x normal levels they believe it is Primary, meaning that there was failure before I ever touched anything.
 
Good luck, man. So far I haven't been able to get away from lifting for more than about 2 months since I first started about 15 years ago. And good luck on the kid front, too. Something we're planning on shortly, as well.

I am tired and prob a lil drunk lol. but I would say enjoy the the nattie training. eat right and do your routine like phil suggested (intense but brief so you can recover) and see how it goes and let us know.
I recently lost traste for all of this and haven't taken a shot of anything in prob 8 weeks or more... my sex drive is low my muscles don't "pop" but I feel pretty good... I will prob get back on trt soon but I am just kinda enjoying the adventure of being "normal"...
sorry for rant. best of luck having a baby it changed my life and continues to.

Glad your back in the gym, I've been in the same position as many being forced out of the gym for various reasons. Muscle memory is incredible. I had a 2 year lay off due to injury gained a bunch of fat and lost muscle. I went off all supps during the break as well. When i started up again I gained back 40 lbs of muscle I had previously in 2 months and recomped back to my precious conditioning shortly after. Look at Victor Martinez with his forced layoff. He went from 220 or so to 280 or whatever in like 5 months. I wonder what the science is behind muscle memory. Anyone have any input as to why we're able to add back muscle once existed so fast in comparison to adding new muscle? If it takes say 5 years to put on 40lbs of muscle from scratch why can someone that has lost this muscle build it back in the matter of months? Very curious.

Hello to my fellow lifters out there.I been on an off from the gym for the last 3 years. Its been a struggle between my wife lososing her mom to tearing my peck to my 3rd hip replacement.In that process drug abuse occured and also depression.I was in acute renal failure do to the high abuse of ibuprofen.I also had a ttotal test level of 25 and my thyroid was in the shitter.I abused t3 for some years.My doctor prescribed me armour thyroid for last 2 months at 60mcg a day and a shot of test 200mg a week.My test came up from a 25 to 195.She wants me up at the range of 300 to 400.The low end of the scale would be 300 and the high being 600.I have a whole complete universal smith machine at home with dumbells.Its hard to motivate myself to lift.I am feeling much better and i am healthly free of depression high blood pressure and cholestrol.The lack of t3 or low t3 has following symptons,high cholestrol high blood presure memory loss foggyness of the brain and depression.And by the way my kidney function is normal now.The only thing health wise i have to do is donate a pint of blood every 6 weeks.My hemacrotic levels were high.Basically thick blood.alot of bodybuilders have this and dont know it.So guys get yourself checked regularly.I was on stuff for 15 years straight and then i was scared straight.Take care of yourselfs.Im gonna start lifting today .happy holidays.godbless.

Thor I never forgot that avatar! I left the restaurant and am working for verizon wireless in IT. Theyre paying for school so I went back. 3 semesters left until I finally have my BSIT.
