JP One Set to Failure programming help request

I wasn't sure if this is the main forum is the correct category for this question, so mods please move if this should go elsewhere.

I want to follow the Jordan Peter's 1 set to failure (as shown in this video)

And I found the following links with programming for it: Jefit Link, T-Nation link

I'm a little overwhlemed with options and don't want to fall victim to "analysis paralysis"

My question is: does anyone here have a better suggestion or alternate programming variation that they would recommend or suggest, or an recommendation of which of the alternatives above is superior in your opinion?

Or could I simply take my old full body workout structure and simply apply Jordan's principles and approach to that?

Any help or suggestions would be great.

I think this is pretty straightforward from the link on the programming just follow it. U can play with the rep ranges and the excercises but there doesn't seem too much ways to change this program. Hope that helps

As fouad has said, most people don’t train hard enough to worry about fatigue. Train hard and take every set till failure and if your overtraining your body will tell you. Take a few rest days and keep pushing the body to the limits

That link and video cover it very well as others have said. But what I’ll add is that the most important thing is that you pick exercises that best align with your build, structure and ROM.

If you can’t create mechanical tension with full ROM then it won’t matter what program, exercise etc you do. I wouldn’t stress so much over the routine as much as I would finding true failure during your workout. You can create that through overload, volume or a mix of both.

If you ever want to know what true failure looks like John Meadow’s has several videos on YT where he discusses and demonstrates it.

While I’d never recommend going to Fouad for advice, 23 mins in is good.

Sure there’s things I’d change for myself definitely, but should you? Don’t overthink it. Pick movements you connect with, can control well, don’t give you pain and target the right muscle.

I know you love fortitude but this is the last thing OP needs to hear right now lol 😂

@OldManLogan pick one and just go for it. Adjust the programming down the road if needed for yourself.
You KNOW now I have to go and see what Fortitude is... :D

And I'm picking one of the variations and going for it like y'all recommended. I'm curious to see how I feel (fatigue/soreness) given the approach versus what I've been doing, which is whole body 3 times a week with 3-4 sets per body part area, to 1-2 RIR...

When I finish my chase for a “competitive BBing” physique and kinda hang up the shorts (which will be in the next 5ish years) I’m gonna go to Fortitude indefinitely.

IMO, it’s a fun, it measures progress very well, and I actually really like the feeling of a full body pump. It also keeps me relatively leaner.

Not trying to derail this thread tho lol

Fortitude really is awesome. i try other shit but always come back to it as my base.
im doing PPL now but wont be long and ill be back to fortitude, idk why i even swap lol.
