Judges point of view

Here are a few pictures of my panda. He is 19 and weighed in at 221 for this show in august. He's got another show nationals coming up next June and I wonder from a judges perspective what he needs to improve on. Obviously just put on more mass as he is 6'4" and will need a ton of muscle to fill out that frame. Messed up his water/sodium with diuretics so he's pretty flat and soft here, actually looked quite a bit better a week out.

I won't comment on conditioning as you already explained why he is smooth. Also your comment about him needing more muscle to fill out his frame is spot on.

I hope you mean a National Qualifier (like a State Championship) and not a National level contest because his physique is a few years away from being ready for National level competition. He needs more legs, back, and chest in that order.

BTW- Are you going to explain to us what a panda is???

No, it is a national show, for the CBBF, he is in the juniors division. as he already won first in the province for the juniors category which qualified him into nationals. Just looking for some specialization points to bring up to perhaps place a bit better this year as he came in 6th at the last national show for juniors.

If this guy want s to be competitive he needs bigger legs.......more muscle, leaner......its a long time from now and a hard road but it can be done.
