Just bought a smoker

How are you all cooking your ribs???

baby backs, 3hrs smoke, 2 hrs wrapped in foil, 1 hr back out.
beef ribs(my fav.) 3 hrs smoke, 3hrs wrapped.

brining a turkey breast right now....:p
 
best thing i own brother! corse im a Texan an we smoke everything, but on sat night thru sunday i smoke all my meat for the week!
 
smoked a rabbit a couple weeks ago. used a kickass peppery seasoning. basted a bit with red wine vinegar. I think I used hickory wood blocks and chips soaked in red wine vinegar. Was amazing to say the least
 
im glad i grew up in the south, we smoke everything! easiest way to cook lots of great meat!
 
I got one for Christmas this year. Thinking of starting with Jerky and working my way up from there.
 
Where are you guys picking your smokers up at?
 
I may give it a try.
However I do make Biltong, I cut my teeth on it as a kid.
 
I have a smoker on a trailer that we use for doing cookoffs, but I got a really nice one from Lowes for about $250, for the back yard. Brisket, ribs and whole chickens is what I do the most on mine.
 
I'm actually making a smoker now out of a 55 gallon drum. It's called a UDS(Ugly Drum Smoker). Was hard to find a useable drum (don't use one that contained petro products or glue, etc), found one that was used to ship applejuice concentrate, burned it out, grinded the rust off and painted it with high temp grill spray. Now can cook whole turkeys, ribs and brisket at the same time :D
 
smoked salmon is delicious! Yumm..

this is what im talking about. i get the salmon in huge filets, smoke em up and then slice them into portions for the week. love it. i do my chicken breasts that way too.
