Just lost my job...

Man i feel like shit...
My boss just told me that were not making enough money and he need to cut me...
Im 21 i was making 8.5$ an hour usd...
I know its not that great of a wage...
But i kinda feel bad about it...
He did give me one month(until october)and hes going to report my status as not enough working hours...

I need to get back to school.
I want to go to university and get an education in computer engenering...
At least im still living with my parents...

They know how to make you feel bad doesnt it?

I know how you feel bro! Do a search on my posts and you will see that I went through a layoff not too long ago! Keep your head up and just make sure you tell yourself that things will get better. They always do!

If you have the ability to stay with your parents, DO IT and GET in school. Don't pass up on your chance to get an education. Just having a degree opens up doors that you will not have a chance to see otherwise.

I have been there and it does feel bad but look at the upswing...you have lot going for you and going back to school is a very real option and one you should do right away.....you should look into a 2 year and can still get in right now or if you need a 4 year i kow it is not too late to get as well...

Stand up, walk tall and look forward to a new beginning..it's a good thing trust me

Yeah,

I can vouch for that. Getting an education is the only thing someone can not take away from you. It does open so many doors and oportunitys down the line. I have continually go back to school because Im in medicine so it kinda sucks. Although I keep learning new things and treatments etc.... Yeah, do it now while your young and at home that way it will be easier on the wallet etc...I did it like that. Good luck and keep your chin up. Things always get worse before they get better.

Hey Man, Sorry to hear the news. Keep your head up and always look at what you have and not what you don't have. The saying goes the less you have the less you lose, or some shit like that. I have been through the same shit, filed bankrupt at 21. talk about being down. If you have loans to pay or anything look into unemployment, until you find a job. After all it is your tax money, use it. Good luck in school. keep on keeping on.

Sorry to hear that Big Matt, if anyone knows the frustration of jobs it's me! A few times over the past few years I have been desperately seeking work, applying for upto 50+ jobs a day online! Most don't even bother to acknowledge your application. After getting a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in 98' I was confident my days of job seeking were over, but with the high unemployment rate here in Australia I was horribly wrong. Luckily I now work with my wife in her business. Phew!!!

I wish you all the best, get that education and show them who's REALLY the boss. Keep us all updated.
